OLF2.0 DTD files
This page lists the DTD files used to generate and validate XML packages for the Online Filing 2.0 (OLF2.0) API.
Use the DTD files below to validate and reference the XML files generated by your patent management system before importing packages via OLF2.0.

Always use the current applicable DTD version for your production implementation. If a new version introduces a change that affects validation or XML structure, this will be listed in the changelog below.

How to use these DTD filesâ
- Use the DTD corresponding to the form and version currently marked as
Current. - If your system validates XML locally, update your validation rules whenever a new DTD version is published on this page.
- Check the Status, Compatibility and Effective date columns to determine when you need to prepare for a change and when you should start using it.
- If a version is replaced, the previous version may remain listed for reference for a limited period.
Notesâ
- These DTD files apply only to OLF2.0.
- If a change affects production behaviour, it will be announced on this page before or at the time it becomes effective.
- DTD versions listed as
Announcedmay be published in advance to give integrators time to adapt before the effective date. - If relevant, additional implementation guidance may also be included in the OLF2.0 XML import documentation.
